Cool Hunting: Beso Beso

I absolutely love Beso Beso Jewelry! Their rings, necklaces and bracelets have a cool effortless yet chic vibe that I love. They also use a lot of natural stone such as amethyst, quartz, onyx and jade. I absolutely must have the 'Barbie' ring in the Amethyst!

Holiday Looks

My absolute favourite time of the year is christmas. I love having a reason to spend time with family friends, buy gifts and most of all get dressed up. I find that a lot of people find it hard to find effortless, affordable, stylish looks for many holiday occasions.
Below are a few looks that I think would make a great Holiday ensemble.

Teal Top $245.00; Sequin Pants $300.00; Sequin Top $76.00; Black Trousers $85.00; White Blouse $115.00; Teal Shorts $60.00; Skull Bracelet $357.00; Black Shoes $170.00

First of all, I think you can never go wrong with adding a little sparkle, such as a sequin shirt, top or sweater. I love sequins and the Holidays are the one time of year that you can get away with wearing them head to toe!

Red Dress $95.00; Nude pumps $130.00; Grey & black dress $99.99; Black pumps $110.00; Camel Dress $95.00; Black studded pumps $995.00

I also love the idea of a classic, conservative dress in rich jewel tones. It is sophisticated and polished yet stylish.

Wardrobe Glimpse

I recently moved back home with my parents so I can start saving to buy a house. In doing so I inherited my first walk-in closet! I thought I would share some pictures so you could get a glimpse of my wardrobe! (It was a lot more organized before I looked at the pictures, so I apologize for the clutter!) As you can see I am currently obsessed with vibrant colour. I love the idea of adding a pop of colour to an outfit to give it that fashion forward edge. Typically in the winter colours are more muted but this winter the bright hues we saw in the summer are carrying over to winter as well.

Miami Getaway

I was recently lucky enough to go to Miami for a week (one of my favourite places). I was able to spend a week soaking up the sun and of course shopping. I absolutely love shopping in the US; prices are cheaper, taxes are lower and you can get a lot of unique stuff that you can't get here in Canada. Unfortunately we left the day before black friday so we missed out on the major deals, but also the craziness. Did a woman really spray people with pepper spray?

Here are a few of my favourite purchases...
Yves Saint Laurent Arty Ring aka my pride and joy!
 Michael Kors oversized runway watch
Toms Skull Shoes - Neiman Marcus

Alexander McQueen sunglasses - Neiman Marcus

Aren't they to die for?

New in: Fur Vest

I recently purchased this fur vest from Michael Kors. I had my eye on it since last year and I finally splurged and purchased it - and I am in love! Not only is it right on trend for this winter, but it is also extremely warm and looks good with almost anything!

Orange Beauties

I apologize I didn't post much this week, I had a pretty hectic week. However, I still found time to make a few new pieces of jewelry and do a bit of shopping. Don't you just love my new orange heels? I also learnt to knit and I am beginning to make my first scarf! I would absolutely love to be able to make my own chunky scarves and sweaters. This weekend I celebrated my friend Danielle's birthday. We went out for drinks and headed to a new club called the 'Hoxton' downtown Toronto.

Aldo - $90.00

Aldo - $60.00

Here is a picture of a few of the girls and I waiting for the go train to head to Toronto.
I wore a leather skirt and shirt from Aritzia, a Michael Kors belt, my new Aldo shoes and a Marc Jacobs clutch.

Topshop in Canada

I feel so out of the loop - I just found out that Topshop is opening at the department store The Bay in Canada! I am so unbelievably excited, and what is even more exciting is that the Toronto Queen Street location has already opened! The Yorkdale mall location is also opening October 5th. For those of you who aren't familiar with Topshop, it is clothing/accessory store based out of the UK which offers trendy affordable collections. Even though I have never been able to actually order anything off of their website I have still managed to go onto their website to browse and covet their pieces on almost a weekly basis. I am beyond excited that I can now own some of them!

New in: Gucci

I am still drooling over my latest purchase - my first pair of Gucci shoes! And the best part is that they were a steal! They were on sale for $149.00 at Holt Renfrew and I couldn't resist. I figure that I can still get some wear out of them in the winter if I pair them with black tights and a simple dress.

Karl Lagerfeld Macys Collection

Fashion legend, Karl Lagerfeld teamed up with Macy's to create his capsule collection, and it is finally in stores today! I am absolutely in love with this collection and you can definitely see Chanel influences in almost every piece. With prices ranging from $50.00- $170.00 (a fraction of the cost of Chanel) it is an affordable way to get the classic elegance which is Karl Lagerfeld. My absolute favourite model Coco Rocha is also apart of the campaign, which I love!
A trip to the States is definitely in order!

Weekend Beading

We went to the cottage this weekend to relax, unwind and to celebrate our one year anniversary. We haven't been able to go up the last few weekends so it was really nice to get away. While I was up there I managed to find some time to do some beading and make some jewelry pieces tailored for the fall.
Below are the pieces that I made this weekend:
As you can probably tell I love skulls and bright vibrant colours. I am really loving burgundy and hunter green for the fall. I was also really excited to find rose gold beads so I could make a wrap bracelet to match all of my rose gold jewelry.

I also managed to do a little bit of shopping! I made my first fall purchase and got these shoes from Town Shoes. I love the colour and also the eclectic take on the classic loafer.

I was super excited to receive news that the Aritzia Fall 2011 preview look book was released. Aritzia is definitely my favourite store and they are always right on trend. Below is the Fall 2011 look book and a few pieces from the collection:

Wilfred Cordelia tunic dress $135.00; Wilfred Free Kalos cape $195.00; Wilfred Free Zeno Sweater $155.00; Wilfred Marguerite Skirt $145.00; Wilfred Baye tunic dress $165.00
